Marlus Pedrosa DDS, PhD, Brazil

Dr. Marlus Pedrosa is currently serving as a Research Associate at the Department of Microbiology and Immunology of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA. He graduated from the University in 2018 and received his Ph.D. in Oral Biology from the School of Dentistry of the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2022. His work mainly focuses on biomaterials, energetic metabolism, oxidative stress, stem cells, and immune-inflammatory host response toward bacterial infections.

Lucas Peixoto de Araújo Brazil

Dr. Lucas Peixoto de Araújo is a clinical and lecturer professor of the Endodontics specialty program at the Orofacial Institute of the Americas (IOA Pelotas - Brazil). He graduated from the Federal University of Pelotas in 2018 and received his Master's degree in Endodontics at the same institution in 2021. Afterward, he went on to pursue his Ph.D. training at the State University of Campinas - Piracicaba Dental School (FOP/UNICAMP) under the supervision of one of the world's most renowned researchers in endodontics, Dr. Caio Cezar Randi Ferraz. Dr. Lucas focuses his scientific work on the field of photodynamic therapy in endodontics while managing his time working on his private practice and teaching at the postgraduate program.
